During the last week of September 2009,  ALVIDON F. ASIS,  M. Sc.  (QPC No. 005) of Vinzons,  Camarines Norte,  Philippines had a 4-nation vacation and he had taken these photos in Luang Prabang or Xieng Dong Xieng Thong,  a city located in north central Laos on the Mekong River about 425 km north of Vientiane, and the capital of Louang Phrabang Province.  The current population of the city is about 103,000.   The city was formerly the capital of a kingdom of the same name.  Until the communist takeover in 1975,  it was the royal capital and seat of government of the Kingdom of Laos. The city is also notable as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  This city is considered to be one of the Southeast Asia’s most beautiful and Asia’s most photographic.   The post office is located at Chao Fa Ngum Road, infront of the Phousi Hotel.
